Registered Patent Agent
Job Summary
To support the development and execution of a comprehensive intellectual property strategy, the full-time remote Registered Patent Agent will manage US patent prosecution activities, including drafting applications and interacting with the USPTO while collaborating with inventors and various departments.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with outside counsel to prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications in the US and internationally
- Provide strategic guidance on patent applications and relevant intellectual property issues, including inventorship and conception
- Support portfolio reviews to assess strengths, gaps, and competitive risks while collaborating with R&D and other technical teams
Required qualifications:
- Registered Patent Agent in good standing with the USPTO
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
- Experience in preparation, prosecution, and management of US patent portfolios
- Strong understanding of USPTO rules and regulations
