Job Summary
To support the Sleep Center, the part-time temporary Registered Polysomnographic Technologist will administer sleep studies, monitor patient data, and provide support for sleep-related treatments while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Monitors brain waves, eye movements, and breathing variables during sleep using specialized equipment
- Explains sleep study procedures to patients and prepares equipment for testing
- Generates accurate reports by analyzing sleep data and ensures patient safety during procedures
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification by a nationally recognized board, holding either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office
