Regulatory Affairs Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting compliance with federal and state laws, the full-time remote Regulatory Affairs Counsel will manage regulatory requirements, collaborate on compliance solutions, and develop policies to enhance the company's compliance program.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements through independent research and evaluation
• Collaborate with the EVP, Regulatory Counsel to develop effective compliance solutions for business challenges
• Develop and maintain a Mavent Compliance Guide to support loan origination operations

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the banking industry, with at least 1 year in a compliance-focused role, preferably in mortgage lending
• Working knowledge of consumer mortgage lending laws and regulations, including TILA/Reg Z, RESPA, ECOA, and HMDA
• Experience with a loan operating system, preferably Encompass
• Proven ability to navigate a dynamic regulatory environment
• Strong knowledge of the subject matter with skills in identifying compliance solutions
