Job Summary
Managing and supporting responses to federal and state regulatory examinations, the full-time Regulatory Affairs Counsel will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while collaborating with business stakeholders and the Chief Compliance Officer in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate responses to regulatory examinations, audits, and information requests from federal and state agencies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements through independent research and evaluation
- Track examination findings and manage corrective action plans to ensure timely resolution
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of mortgage lending experience, with at least 1 year in a regulatory examination or audit-focused role
- Experience managing or supporting regulatory examinations conducted by agencies such as state regulators or the CFPB
- Familiarity with loan origination systems, preferably Encompass
- Knowledge of consumer mortgage lending laws and regulations, including TILA/Reg Z, RESPA, ECOA, and HMDA
- Skilled at navigating dynamic regulatory environments
