Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time Principal Counsel, Regulatory & Privacy will manage the global privacy program, oversee regulatory compliance, and handle various legal matters in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Build and run the global privacy program, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks such as CCPA/CPRA and GDPR
- Manage FTC and consumer protection compliance, including health and wellness claims and advertising reviews
- Provide legal support across various areas, including commercial contracts and product counseling, as needed
Required qualifications
- JD and active bar membership in at least one US state
- 8 to 12 years of relevant in-house experience, with a strong background in privacy and regulatory matters
- Solid working knowledge of US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA), GDPR, and FTC regulations
- Versatile generalist experience, comfortable handling diverse legal issues
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
