Regulatory Counsel
Job Summary
Providing legal guidance in a remote capacity, the full-time Regulatory Counsel will support compliance with federal and state mortgage lending laws, lead regulatory change management, and collaborate on new business initiatives and product development.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide legal analysis and advice on compliance with mortgage lending laws and regulations
- Lead regulatory change management by monitoring legal developments and advising on implementation strategies
- Collaborate on new business initiatives, assessing regulatory risk and structuring compliant solutions
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 2+ years of relevant legal or regulatory compliance experience in the banking or mortgage industry
- Experience advising on consumer mortgage lending laws and regulations, including TILA, RESPA, and ECOA
- Familiarity with loan origination systems and compliance tools, preferred
