Regulatory Counsel, US Licensed

Job Summary

Supporting regulatory matters across the Americas, the full-time Regulatory Counsel, US Licensed will advise on payments and financial services regulations, manage licensing and compliance obligations, and provide legal guidance to stakeholders in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Support regulatory legal matters, including advice on licenses, registrations, and future applications
• Research and summarize developments in payments and financial services regulation, assessing their impact on operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on regulatory questions and assist with new market entry and product compliance

Required qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer with 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Experience in regulatory, financial services, or fintech environments, preferably in-house or at a financial institution
• Understanding of the US financial-services regulatory environment and interest in money-transmitter licensing
• Ability to research complex legal questions and provide clear, practical advice
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills with a proactive approach to managing priorities
