Job Summary
Supporting regulatory matters across the Americas, the full-time Regulatory Counsel, US Licensed will advise on payments and financial services regulations, manage licensing and compliance obligations, and provide legal guidance to stakeholders in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Support regulatory legal matters, including advice on licenses, registrations, and future applications
- Research and summarize developments in payments and financial services regulation, assessing their impact on operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on regulatory questions and assist with new market entry and product compliance
Required qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer with 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
- Experience in regulatory, financial services, or fintech environments, preferably in-house or at a financial institution
- Understanding of the US financial-services regulatory environment and interest in money-transmitter licensing
- Ability to research complex legal questions and provide clear, practical advice
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills with a proactive approach to managing priorities
