Job Summary
Supporting the development and finalization of CMS federal rule provisions, the full-time remote Regulatory Writing Expert will lead the drafting of regulatory documents, collaborate with federal clients, and train healthcare analysts on public comment analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, drafting, and review of RFIs, NPRMs, and final rules, ensuring compliance with agency expectations and regulatory best practices
- Facilitate client-facing discussions on regulatory strategy and prepare formal communications to translate complex regulatory content for diverse audiences
- Support the full lifecycle of federal rulemaking and develop responses to public comments, ensuring stakeholder feedback is represented in final rules
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in public health, public policy, medicine, nursing, health policy, government, or related field
- 8+ years of federal regulatory experience, including drafting HHS rules
- Minimum of 3 years drafting or finalizing HHS regulatory language
- Demonstrated experience supporting federal rulemaking processes, including RFIs, NPRMs, and final rules
- Strong understanding of the regulatory development lifecycle for federal agencies
