Reimbursement Accountant

Job Summary

To support healthcare financial operations, the full-time remote Reimbursement Accountant will manage third-party cost reports, analyze financial data for accuracy, and assist with audits while leveraging accounting expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Completing accurate third-party cost reports and analyzing financial data to ensure compliance and consistency
• Verifying rate calculations and final settlements from third-party payers for accuracy
• Assisting with audits and preparing documentation for reimbursement appeals and special analyses

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred
• Two to four years of finance experience, ideally in healthcare
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting healthcare providers
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data extraction software
