Reimbursement Analyst

Job Summary

To support healthcare reimbursement strategies, the full-time remote Reimbursement Analyst will prepare analyses, develop recommendations, and manage financial data related to provider reimbursement and network strategy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Construct Excel spreadsheets and Access databases to perform competitive financial analyses and provide recommendations based on claims data
• Conduct detailed financial analyses of claims utilization data to assess reimbursement competitiveness and develop pricing recommendations
• Respond to ad hoc requests, including contract audits and fee disclosure inquiries, while researching industry policies and reimbursement methodologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HealthCare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 3 years of experience in financial analysis/modeling within health insurance or healthcare
• Understanding of national or local reimbursement mechanisms and methodologies for Commercial and Government Programs
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to develop financial models and impact analyses for management recommendations
