Job Summary

A company is looking for a Reimbursement Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review hospital system reimbursement for insurance overpayment or underpayment, submit appeals to insurance payors, and maintain insurance contract information in reimbursement management system
  • Evaluate billing, coverage, and reimbursement changes for all payers, collaborate with Revenue Cycle departments to resolve insurance rejections, denials, and appeals, and produce monthly reports for management
  • Support Contract Management in the review, development, and implementation of insurance contract terms, identify reimbursement variances and patterns, and provide billing and reimbursement information to departmental managers
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Five years analytical and financial experience in healthcare setting
  • Extensive knowledge of medical insurances, third party payer rules, regulations, coding, and reimbursement guidelines, along with hospital Revenue Cycle policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with attention to detail and ability to prepare and present analyses and reports
  • Ability to prioritize workload and participate in Revenue Cycle process improvement development
