Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure maximum reimbursement, the full-time Reimbursement Specialist will manage outstanding balances for specific payors, conduct payor research, and resolve issues while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collect on outstanding balances and process appeals and adjustments for aged accounts
• Interact with payers and management to ensure timely collections and resolve AR-related issues
• Collaborate with other Reimbursement Specialists to replicate best practices and comply with regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 3+ years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Demonstrated ability to escalate and resolve issues with payor supervisors and provider relations
