Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the Reimbursement team, the full-time remote Reimbursement Specialist will manage claims submission and payment errors, ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims, and correct billing issues to meet collection targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely follow-up on claims to payers and patients according to prescribed policies and procedures
• Prepare and submit accurate rebilled claims and initial billed secondary/tertiary claims to payers
• Identify variances between booked revenue and expected reimbursement to facilitate accurate claims processing

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate
• Experience working with billing and collections software is highly desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and speed
• Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claim filing practices
