Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Patient Financial Services department, the full-time hybrid Reimbursement Specialist will manage billing inquiries, follow up on denied claims, and ensure accurate payment processing while providing exceptional customer service during day shifts.

Key responsibilities:

• Follow up on billed and denied accounts with third-party payers to establish payment status
• Independently resolve issues and identify opportunities for improvement in the billing process
• Assist in training new team members and promote teamwork within the department

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment, including insurance or public health settings
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time constraints effectively
• Experience with claims processing and understanding of payer-related trends
• Proficient in using a PC and navigating online payer portals
