Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time hybrid Reimbursement Specialist, the candidate will manage patient financial services by following up on billed and denied accounts, resolving issues with third-party payers, and assisting in training new team members while working day shifts from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on billed and denied accounts with third-party payers to establish payment status
• Independently troubleshoot issues and escalate as necessary while promoting teamwork and a positive work environment
• Assist in training new team members and communicate issues to management effectively

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a healthcare environment, including insurance companies or public health settings
• Ability to work under frequent pressure due to time constraints
• Experience with PC operations and focused concentration in an office environment
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
