Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

As a mid-level Reimbursement Specialist, the full-time remote position will manage the insurance billing life cycle, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursements by verifying patient insurance coverage, submitting claims, and following up on accounts receivable.

Key responsibilities:

• Researching and monitoring billing issues, trends, and potential risks
• Reviewing and ensuring accurate claim submissions and tracking their status
• Assisting patients with their financial journey while navigating payer portals and maintaining compliance with regulations

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare privacy regulations
• Experience with payer portals and claim tracking systems
