Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Reimbursement Specialist will manage the insurance billing life cycle, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Researching and monitoring billing issues, trends, and potential risks
• Reviewing claims for accuracy and ensuring timely submissions, including handling denied/unpaid claims
• Verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits, and assisting patients with their financial journey

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with payer portals and claim tracking systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare privacy regulations
• Knowledge of ICD and HCPCS/CPT coding preferred
