Reinsurance Accountant
Job Summary
Supporting the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of reinsurance companies, the full-time remote Reinsurance Accountant will prepare financial statements, record accounting activities, and manage tax compliance and regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements for approximately 50 reinsurance companies
- Record and analyze accounting activities including cash transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and investments
- Prepare and analyze tax returns and supporting schedules for assigned reinsurance entities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting, finance, financial analysis, or program analysis experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience interpreting financial data and performing account reconciliations
- Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices
