Reinsurance Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a forward-thinking Reinsurance Accounting Manager, this full-time remote position will manage end-to-end accounting for reinsurance transactions, modernize reporting processes using AI tools, and ensure compliance with accounting standards while collaborating closely with the Finance Team and the in-house reinsurance brokerage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end accounting for assumed and ceded reinsurance transactions, including premiums, losses, and related entries
• Manage reinsurance balances and modernize the production and reconciliation of reinsurance statements and settlements
• Support statutory reporting and audit requests while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 5-7 years of reinsurance accounting experience with knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Workday experience is a plus
• Experience using AI tools to improve or automate financial processes
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
