Reinsurance Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Reinsurance Accounting Supervisor with life insurance experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation and review of reinsurance accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting
• Lead quarterly and annual close activities related to ceded reinsurance
• Partner with actuarial, finance, and external reinsurers to ensure accurate treaty implementation and financial data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred)
• 4+ years of insurance industry experience, with a strong focus on reinsurance accounting (life insurance preferred)
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and statutory accounting principles related to reinsurance
• Proven ability to review treaty terms and translate them into accounting treatment
• Experience with reinsurance systems and general ledger platforms; Oracle and/or SAP a plus
