Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Reinsurance Administrator will manage the accurate and timely filing of excess risk medical claims, collaborate with excess risk companies to resolve issues, and coordinate reporting for client reimbursements.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and prepare stop loss claims submissions for client reimbursement over specific deductible amounts
- Communicate with various departments regarding claimants reaching 50% of the specific deductible amount and process returned checks from stop loss reimbursements
- Investigate reimbursement denials and prepare rebuttals or notifications for clients as needed
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of medical claims experience, specifically with stop loss claims processing
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous knowledge of employee benefits, third-party benefit administration, or reinsurance
- Self-directed with strong time management and problem-solving skills
