Release Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Release Engineer - Data Plane.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute rolling upgrades across tens of thousands of clusters, ensuring safety and minimal customer impact
• Own the full release pipeline, including pre-upgrade validation and post-upgrade monitoring
• Investigate and resolve production issues as part of an on-call rotation and improve internal tooling for reliability

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating stateful distributed systems in production
• Hands-on experience with upgrades or maintenance operations on live production data stores
• Strong production debugging skills under pressure
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Kubernetes
• Software development experience in Go or willingness to learn another language
