Job Summary
Owning the operational reliability and release coordination for the CMS Drug Data Processing System and Payment Reconciliation System, the full-time remote Release Engineer will ensure safe production releases, maintain real-time monitoring, and drive system reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute all production releases, including validating deployment readiness and managing rollbacks
- Maintain real-time monitoring and observability across program systems using tools like AWS CloudWatch and Splunk
- Drive reliability improvements by automating remediation, reducing manual tasks, and enhancing system resilience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or release management
- Hands-on experience with AWS CloudWatch and Splunk for production observability and incident management
- Experience coordinating production releases and managing rollback execution on mission-critical systems
- Familiarity with Linux environments and Bash scripting for operational automation
- Ability to pass CMS and internal required background checks for public trust
