Release Train Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the Agile Release Train, the full-time Release Train Engineer / DevOps Systems Lead will oversee a remote cross-functional team responsible for CI/CD pipelines, build and release automation, and platform operations for Java applications, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery across multiple Agile teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate key SAFe ceremonies and coach teams on SAFe principles and continuous improvement practices
- Drive program-level execution, tracking progress toward PI objectives and managing risks across teams
- Lead and mentor the DevOps Systems Team, prioritizing the team backlog and coordinating cross-team release planning
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in large-scale software delivery, with at least 3 years in an RTE or similar leadership role in a SAFe environment
- Demonstrated experience leading an Agile Release Train using the SAFe framework
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and platform operations
- Experience with technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or cloud platforms like AWS
