Job Summary

An educational school program has a current position open for a Remote 7th and 8th Grade Literacy Instructor in New York City.

Must be able to:

  • Create, adapt and implement reading and writing curriculum for groups of 10 students online or up to 25 students in person
  • Engage students and modify curriculum according to needs of students and the medium
  • Manage in person and remote classrooms using positive behavior management strategies

Qualifications Include:

  • Able to travel as needed
  • NYS Teacher Certification
  • Must possess strong communication skills and knowledge of group development
  • Experience working with middle school youth and knowledge of child development
  • Reliable Wifi and computer access
