Remote Academic Specialist

Job Summary

To support a diverse range of students, the part-time Remote Academic Specialist will teach humanities-focused high school and early-college courses, with a preference for candidates who can cover multiple subjects up to AP level and are Mandarin speaking.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct students in various humanities subjects, including English, history, and philosophy, at high school and introductory college levels
• Provide academic support and guidance to international students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Manage a flexible schedule of 8-20 hours per week, primarily during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a top 30 US or Canadian college or university
• Strong interest in teaching and supporting international students across varied levels
• Ability to cover multiple subjects, with a focus on humanities
