Market Enginuity is seeking a determined and persuasive sales professional to support our PBS KIDS corporate sponsorship sales efforts representing WHYY-TV, Philadelphia's PBS station. In this outside sales, work-from-home role, you'll be responsible for securing corporate sponsorship for broadcast sponsorship messages and events, all related to PBS KIDS. You'll develop new business by prospecting for new Sponsors and following a consultative sales approach, serving as a liaison between corporate sponsors and multiple departments at WHYY-TV.

Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Sponsorship Sales - 80%
Daily life for an account executive in public television is similar to that of a salesperson in commercial broadcast or local print media.
o Call on decision makers at local and regional businesses to secure a meeting and understand their marketing needs
o Develop proposals that offer marketing solutions to grow client's business via WHYY KIDS programming and engagement
o Be accountable for the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposal writing, closing, copywriting, troubleshooting issues and providing white-glove customer service to build long-term relationships
Events Coordination - 20%
o Serve as a liaison between cross-functional departments within WHYY-TV
o Identify opportunities for sponsors at KIDS events
o Coordinate event details with internal cross-functional teams and sponsors
o Act as representative / advocate for the sponsor with internal teams
o Ensure all contractual obligations are met
o Attend events to execute on-site activation and deliverables

Key Qualities and Skills You Possess:
At least 3 years of sales experience; media experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to write and present in a professional and motivating manner
o Ability to be persuasive and speak with conviction regarding the station's unique value proposition
Project management skills: time management, prioritization and goal attainment
Self-management
A fundamental belief in and ability to deliver stellar customer service
Demonstrated detail orientation and organizational skills
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability and willingness to work weekend hours periodically
