Job Summary
Under the direction of the AVP of Business Development, the Account Manager will meet and/or exceed objectives and goals by consistently exceeding client expectations and developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through proactive program management. Through consultative management, the Account Manager will:
Serve as the first point of contact for all client-related matters
Support internal and external interests through proactive management, continually assessing client needs
Build rapport with the client, all stakeholders and partners
Assist in the preparation of reports and proposals
Evaluate program enhancement opportunities
Analyze data
Promote the company's products and services through upsell initiatives
Work Specifics: Full-time, exempt position, regular travel required
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Identify, develop, and expand new and existing relationships with assigned client(s) and related partners
Develop individual account management plans targeted toward strong, proactive program management and enhancement initiatives
Anticipate needs and serve as the client expert in all matters
Work with Senior Leadership and Department Managers to ensure customer satisfaction
Interface well with personnel and understand prioritization needs, resources, deliverables, and schedules
Evaluate metrics on client program performance with ability to lead discussions on metrics and program performance/enhancement initiatives
Coordinate, lead and document all client-related meetings, including preparation and presentation of program results and upsell opportunities to clients
Support the growth and development of the business through superior client retention practices
Work independently and lead the internal/external issue resolution process
Position will require occasional overnight travel

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline with a proven track record of success in sales interactions and customer service. A working knowledge of the principles, terminology, and practices of health care and risk management is required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the Workers Compensation industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have the following:
