Job Summary

A business service company has an open position for a Remote Account Specialist.

Must be able to:

  • Contact insurance companies to appeal wrongfully denied or underpaid insurance claims
  • Perform appropriate follow up with payers and provide clear and concise documentation
  • Formulate appeals, participate in settlement negotiations, and identify and resolve client issues

Qualifications Include:

  • 2 to 3 years minimum experience in healthcare reimbursement/collections
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, review and analyze reimbursement contracts from managed care insurance
  • Understanding of HMOS, PPOs and other Managed Care Plans
