Job Summary
A transportation technology and freight matching solutions company is seeking a Remote Accounting and Billing Operations Director.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly financial accounting close cycle and related activities, provide ownership over billing operations, execute the company’s strategy for financial systems, and manage a team of leaders and individual contributors across multiple finance functions
- Prepare and maintain the monthly US GAAP financial reporting packages on a consolidated, legal entity and business unit basis
- Prepare and maintain tax basis financial statements and statutory ledgers for wholly owned subsidiaries
Qualifications Include:
- Detailed knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, purchase accounting, compensation matters, foreign subsidiaries, consolidations, and software development capitalization
- Significant experience interfacing with external auditors and other professional service organizations
- Demonstrated effective and efficient management of the financial accounting close process, including the implementation of best practices and the ability to leverage systems to automate processes and financial reporting
- Proven track record of implementing and integrating financial systems and processes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant CPA Audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm
