Remote Accounting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounting Director to oversee all accounting, compliance, and financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger and ensure timely financial closes in compliance with GAAP and government standards
• Prepare and review indirect rate structures and coordinate with CFO and auditors for compliance and audits
• Support financial planning and maintain budgetary discipline while collaborating with various teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master's and/or CPA preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting, with at least 5 years in federal government contract accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA requirements
• Proficiency in financial software, with Unanet experience strongly desired
• Experience with government invoicing and payment systems
