Remote Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A university is seeking a Remote Accounting Specialist.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Communicating with vendors and other third-party affiliates to reconcile and coordinate with student accounts
• Working closely with student accounts and 3rd party billing to understand processes and policies
• Liaising between prospective and continuing students and student accounts and enrollment

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting theory, practices and procedures
• Requires basic knowledge of standards and processes within a narrow scope of work
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience
• May require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience
• Associates Degree
• 5 years’ experience in Customer Service environment relating to Tier II contacts/calls
