Job Summary

A company is looking for an Admissions Counselor to manage patient registration and insurance verification processes remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and collect patient demographic and insurance information for electronic medical records
• Educate patients on insurance coverage, financial liabilities, and assist with financial counseling
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coordinate with clinical departments regarding registration and financial issues

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• 2 years of experience in a customer service role required
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
• 3-5 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related medical field preferred
• Completion of medical terminology coursework preferred
