Job Summary

Working remotely as a full-time Admissions Counselor, the candidate will manage patient demographic and insurance information verification, provide financial education, and ensure timely authorization for medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient registration and scheduling by accurately entering clinical, demographic, and insurance information into the electronic medical record
• Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements for medical services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
• Provide financial counseling to patients regarding insurance coverage, payment arrangements, and alternative financial assistance options

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role required
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
• 3-5 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related medical field preferred
• Completion of Medical Terminology coursework preferred
