Job Summary
A non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and conservation of public parks has a current position open for a Remote Advocacy Manager in Ashburn.
Must be able to:
- Develop an outreach strategy integrated with the organization’s lobbying efforts
- Oversee the organization’s existing site visit and virtual meetings model for advocacy
- Manage departmental advocacy outreach activities, and provide administrative and scheduling support to the team
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be willing to travel from 2–10 days per year, or more if needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, a related field, or relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and carry out advocacy activities
- 3–5 years experience in a similar role
- Understanding of complex strategic planning in nonprofit and government environments
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with diverse audiences
