Job Summary
Providing audio and video interpreting services remotely, the Independent Contractor International Audio/Video Remote Afghani/Dari Interpreter will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
- Answer inbound calls in a timely manner while delivering superior customer service
- Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality standards
Required qualifications
- Full fluency in both English and Afghani/Dari
- Proficiency in technology, including web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
- A quiet and secure interpreting space free from outside noise
- 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
- Industry-specific certifications or trainings preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
