Job Summary

An undergraduate education provider is seeking a Remote American Sign Language Interpreting Adjunct Faculty Member.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings,
  • Responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum of a BA, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certified interpreter and teaching experience is required
  • The following credentials are acceptable: American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) certification; Masters Licensed Interpreter in Illinois; Graduate of an ITP program
  • Masters degree with 3-5 years teaching experience is preferred
  • Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred
