Job Summary
An information technology advisory firm is seeking a Remote Application Security Specialist.
Must be able to:
- Perform static application security testing (SAST), track remediation efforts, and ensure that established SLA timelines are met within VA
- Plan, coordinate, and lead teams to conduct assessments of applications to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and security requirements in accordance with the VA A&A process
- Validate Security Plans, weekly status updates, and assist VA cybersecurity leadership in the execution and enforcement of VA Cyber Security and RMF process
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- 3+ years of experience within Cybersecurity
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages (Java, Python, etc.) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- In-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, development, and implementation of vulnerability identification, scanning, analysis, remediation tactics, and reporting within an organization
