Job Summary

A healthcare company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Assay Development Senior Data Scientist in Palo Alto.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and optimizing components of bioinformatics analysis pipeline
  • Designing experiments supporting research, development and validations
  • Producing high quality Python code following best practices and standards set by the software development team

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Master’s in Applied Math, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or similar field
  • 5 or more years of practical experience in scientific or mathematical data analysis
  • 3 years in Python, including use of packages such as numpy and pandas
  • Solid foundations and expertise in fundamental concepts of probability theory and statistics
  • Desire to learn about cancer genetics and detection
