Remote Assistant Teaching Professor of ASL

Job Summary

To enhance the undergraduate curriculum, the part-time Remote Assistant Teaching Professor of American Sign Language (ASL) will develop and teach courses in ASL and Deaf Culture, managing a courseload of four courses per year while contributing to departmental service.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture
• Manage a courseload of four courses annually, with two courses each in the fall and spring semesters
• Contribute to departmental and institutional service activities

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in ASL or a related area
• Experience teaching sign language, interpreting, or related courses at a postsecondary institution
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
