Job Summary
To enhance the undergraduate curriculum, the part-time Remote Assistant Teaching Professor of American Sign Language (ASL) will develop and teach courses in ASL and Deaf Culture, managing a courseload of four courses per year while contributing to departmental service.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture
- Manage a courseload of four courses annually, with two courses each in the fall and spring semesters
- Contribute to departmental and institutional service activities
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in ASL or a related area
- Experience teaching sign language, interpreting, or related courses at a postsecondary institution
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
