Job Summary

A financial services firm is in need of a Remote Associate Counsel in Philadelphia.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing legal advice and support relating to the use of any derivatives or other specialized investments
  • Monitoring, identifying & advising on global regulatory changes in connection with trading, trading agreements & market practices
  • Negotiating all manner of trading documentation for derivatives and other specialized investment

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Legal Degree required
  • 2-7 years of related legal experience
  • Knowledge of laws, rules & regulations & market practice governing use of derivatives & other specialized investments
  • Possess the experience and confidence to interact professionally with senior management, clients, and clients’ representatives
  • Must have familiarity with: Dodd-Frank (and similar non-US laws and regulations) & the Commodity Exchange Act
  • Must have familiarity with: Investment Advisers Act of 1940; Investment Company Act of 1940; laws governing operation of UCITS funds
