Job Summary

A technology company is filling a position for a Remote Azure Data Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing open source platform components using Spark, Scala, Java, Oozie, Hive and other components
  • Documenting code artifacts and participate in developing user documentation and run books
  • Troubleshooting deployment to various environments and provide test support

Required Skills:

  • Experience with JIRA/GitHub/Git and other code management toolsets
  • 3+ years of experience in developing large scale data processing/data storage/data distribution systems
  • 3+ years of experience in working with large Hadoop projects
  • Hands-on experience with DataBricks and CosmoDB
  • Must be able to design CosmoDB collections and administrate CosmoDB as an application DBA
  • 5+ years of working with a complex Big Data environment
