Job Summary

A software company is seeking a Remote Backend Automotive Software Engineer in Salt Lake City.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Managing, improving, and building backend services and API’s in a polyglot, distributed architectural setting
  • Writing tests and contribute to our continuous testing and deployment strategies
  • Monitoring application and infrastructure performance to identify issues, plus optimize for scalability and site reliability

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in modern backend development language
  • 4+ years of professional experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL
  • Designed and managed production API’s for both frontend clients as well as server-to-server interactions
  • Experience with advanced web application features such as queues, event/message systems, sending mail, etc
  • Experience writing automated tests (unit, feature, API, integration, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of modern continuous integration/testing/deployment strategies
