Job Summary

A mobile learning experience platform is filling a position for a Remote Backend Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Documenting product, technical, and architectural decisions for the benefit of both engineering and product audiences
• Bringing analytical skills to early product definition sessions and helping to shape product ideas into technically feasible features
• Integrating with different stores and payment processors

Qualifications Include:

• Considerable experience designing and developing APIs with Ruby on Rails
• Solid understanding of the backend stack: HTTP, Relational Databases, Background Processing Systems, Asynchronous Messaging Systems
• Some experience in both horizontal and vertical scaling of backend systems
• Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, especially to build admin interfaces
