Job Summary
A learning management tools technology company has an open position for a Remote Backend Ruby on Rails Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Creating microservices to support new features
- Assisting in refactoring monolithic Rails application
- Maintaining existing, and building new, third-party integrations and single-sign-on services
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- At least 3 years of experience building web-based APIs with Ruby on Rails
- Great OO skills, including strong design pattern and MVC knowledge
- Experience implementing single-sign-on using OAuth and OpenID
- Experience integrating applications with third-party APIs using JSON, SOAP, SAML, and XML-RPC
- Experience using Git
