Job Summary

A financial services company is seeking a Remote Backend Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing and delivering of web services supporting Company's APIs
  • Developing and delivering user experiences on various channels, as well as integrations with partners
  • Developing software for distributed systems with high performance, scalability and availability

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Minimum 4+ years software development experience (2+ for MS)
  • BS in Computer Science or related degree
  • Ability to own and drive development and delivery of features in the API
  • Familiarity and comfort with the technologies, the tradeoffs, and the design patterns emerging in web services
  • Experience in developing high performance, scalable and available web services using J2EE and frameworks such as RestEasy, Spring, Apache CXF and Jersey
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns, and programming skills
