Job Summary
A health and exercise company is filling a position for a Remote Backend Software Engineering Manager.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Promote growth of teammates through mentorship and coaching
- Support teams who design, build and maintain APIs
- Support resolution of production issues across the entire stack
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bi-annual, in-person company retreats
- Have knowledge of common patterns and software engineering best practices
- Are familiar with basic Agile principles and Scrum methodologies
- Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent real-world experience
- Have experience working with high traffic, scalable applications
- Experience leading a backend team through service deployment
