A news site specializing in bitcoin and digital currencies is filling a position for a Remote Beat Reporting and Editing Deputy Editor in Chief.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Pay attention to global macroeconomic trends in the regions as well as crypto-adjacent areas
- Work with reporters and editors so they learn to edit/write concise, sophisticated breaking news pieces
- Ensure coverage of relevant events such as earnings by West Coast-based tech companies
Qualifications for this position include:
- The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of journalism experience
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency and related technologies
- Leadership experience and strong writing/editing skills
- A self-starter with an insatiable intellectual curiosity, a nose for news, and a can-do/collaborative attitude
