Job Summary
A health insurance company has a current position open for a Remote Behavioral Health Care Manager I or II in Downey.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Assessing member needs to ensure access to medically necessary quality behavioral healthcare in a cost effective setting
- Referring cases to Peer Reviewers as appropriate
- Performing psychiatric & substance abuse or substance abuse disorder assessment coordination implementation case planning
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Requires MA/MS in social work counseling or a related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing
- AND 3+ years experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric & substance abuse or substance abuse disorder treatment
- OR any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- Current active unrestricted license such as RN LCSW LMSW LMHC LPC LBA LMFT or Clinical Psychologist
- Prior managed care experience required
