Job Summary
An organization preventing substance abuse and suicide has an open position for a Remote Behavioral Health Counselor.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent availability to promptly respond to incoming telephone calls
- Provide brief tele-mental health using a strength-based approach
- Gather demographic information and document each call
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Master’s in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related or Certified QMHP registered
- Minimum two years post-graduate counseling experience with diverse populations
- Ability to set short term objectives and use a strength based, solution focused approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Experience with Windows PC application
